How to relieve high eye pressure

When intraocular pressure is high, the following methods can help alleviate it:
1. Eye care: Perform eye exercises to promote blood circulation in the eyes. Apply a warm towel to the eyes for 5–10 minutes at a time to help relieve eye fatigue.
2. Lifestyle adjustments: Avoid prolonged eye use, especially staring at electronic screens. Ensure adequate sleep to reduce eye strain. Maintain a balanced diet and consume moderate amounts of foods rich in vitamins A, C, and E.
3. Medication: Under medical supervision, use medications that lower intraocular pressure, such as timolol maleate eye drops. If necessary, take oral carbonic anhydrase inhibitors (e.g., acetazolamide tablets) or receive intravenous mannitol injection.
4. Surgical treatment: If medication fails to control intraocular pressure, surgical options may be considered, such as non-invasive PNT intraocular pressure reduction, laser surgery, or trabeculectomy.
