How does pelvic fluid accumulation occur?
Disease description:
I recently had a physical examination, and the report showed that I have pelvic fluid accumulation. I would like to know how pelvic fluid accumulation develops?
Pelvic fluid accumulation mainly results from two causes. Physiological causes include minor retrograde menstrual blood flow or follicular fluid accumulation in the pelvic cavity during menstruation or ovulation, which is a normal phenomenon and generally requires no special treatment. Pathological causes are more complex and may be triggered by gynecological conditions such as pelvic inflammatory disease, adnexitis, or endometriosis. These conditions can result from various factors, including poor hygiene, iatrogenic infections, or the spread of inflammation from adjacent organs. Pelvic fluid accumulation may arise from either physiological or pathological reasons, and accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment should be based on individual circumstances.
