How is farsightedness formed?
Disease description:
My eyes have recently been tearing up easily when looking at things, and my vision has also become somewhat blurry. After a hospital eye examination, I was diagnosed with farsightedness. I would like to know how farsightedness develops.
The formation of hyperopia is mainly due to the following factors:
1. Genetic factors: Hyperopia has a hereditary component. If parents or close relatives have hyperopia, the individual's risk of developing hyperopia increases.
2. Eye development: Abnormal eye development, such as an excessively short axial length, can lead to hyperopia. This is particularly common in infants and young children, whose eyes have not yet fully developed.
3. Environmental factors: Poor visual habits and environmental factors, such as prolonged near-work and excessive exposure to bright light, may also contribute to the development of hyperopia.
4. Other pathological factors: Conditions such as intraocular tumors or orbital masses may affect the axial length of the eye or its refractive power, thereby leading to hyperopia.
