Presbyopia generally refers to age-related farsightedness. Prevention of presbyopia can be achieved through maintaining good eye usage habits, undergoing regular eye examinations, and adjusting lifestyle habits.

Extended periods of staring at electronic screens, such as computers and mobile phones, can accelerate eye fatigue and increase the burden on the eyes. Therefore, following the 20-20-20 rule can effectively alleviate eye fatigue. Every 20 minutes of work, look at an object 20 feet away for 20 seconds. When reading or using electronic devices, maintain an appropriate distance and angle, avoiding getting too close or tilting your head. Eye massage and eye movement exercises can also help relieve eye fatigue and enhance the eye muscles' ability to adjust focus.

Regular eye examinations to promptly detect and address eye conditions are also an effective measure for preventing presbyopia. It is recommended to have at least one vision check annually to monitor changes in the eye's refractive status and focusing ability. If symptoms of presbyopia appear, appropriate eyeglasses or other treatments should be selected under the guidance of a doctor.

In terms of diet, maintaining nutritional balance is important. Consume more foods rich in vitamins A, C, and E, as well as antioxidant substances such as lutein and zeaxanthin, such as carrots, spinach, blueberries, and oranges. These nutrients help protect the eye's cells and tissues and slow down the aging process of the eyes.
