There may be a certain association between fever in children and measles vaccination, but this association is not common. 1. The measles vaccine is intended to prevent infection by the measles virus. Protective antibodies usually develop within about 1–2 weeks after vaccination, effectively preventing measles. Fever caused by the vaccine typically occurs within 24–48 hours after vaccination and represents a normal immune response. This type of fever is usually mild in temperature and gradually resolves on its own. 2. Causes of fever in children are diverse, including but not limited to upper respiratory tract infections, overdressing, and other illnesses. A brief fever may occur after vaccination, but in most cases, there is no clear direct link between vaccination and fever.
