Possible causes of episodic fever may include the following: 1. Physiological factors: Rapid changes in environmental temperature may lead to noticeable fluctuations in body temperature. This usually does not require special treatment. 2. Autonomic nervous system dysfunction: Prolonged stress or excessive mental strain can disrupt the autonomic nervous system, potentially causing abnormal body temperature and sweating. 3. Medical conditions: Various diseases such as upper respiratory tract infections, menopausal syndrome, influenza, kidney yin deficiency, hyperthyroidism, and tuberculosis may all cause episodes of fever. 4. Other factors: Exposure to cold or tumor-related fever may also result in intermittent fever. When experiencing episodic fever, it is advisable to evaluate whether other symptoms are present, consider the specific circumstances, and seek timely medical evaluation to determine the underlying cause and receive appropriate treatment.
