The main causes of frequent hydrocele include: 1. Trauma: When the testis or epididymis is subjected to external force, it may lead to blood stasis or collagen fiber proliferation, thereby causing fluid accumulation. 2. Infection: Inflammation or infection of the testis, epididymis, or spermatic cord can block local lymphatic vessels and impair lymphatic drainage, resulting in fluid accumulation. Common infectious agents include Escherichia coli, streptococci, or staphylococci. 3. Obstructive conditions: Diseases such as varicocele, spermatic cord edema, or tuberculous spermatic cord may obstruct the spermatic cord, leading to fluid accumulation. 4. Tumors: Genital or testicular tumors may stimulate increased secretion of fluid from the testis. 5. Congenital factors: Congenital abnormalities such as seminal vesicle anomalies or vas deferens narrowing may also lead to hydrocele.
