I've never had a circumcision, and recently I've felt some pain in my penis. Could this be caused by having long foreskin? Is penile pain related to having long foreskin?

There is a certain relationship between penile pain and phimosis (excessively long foreskin). An overly long foreskin tends to harbor bacteria, which may accumulate under the foreskin and trigger inflammation, leading to penile pain. In addition, the elongated foreskin may irritate the glans and urethral opening, causing discomfort or pain. However, not all cases of penile pain are caused by phimosis; other factors such as sexually transmitted infections, urethritis, or urinary stones may also produce similar symptoms. Therefore, if penile pain persists, it is advisable to seek timely medical evaluation to determine the underlying cause and receive appropriate treatment under a doctor's guidance. For individuals with phimosis, maintaining local hygiene and undergoing surgical intervention when necessary are important preventive measures.
