Why are men's testicles soft?

A man's testicles may feel soft for various reasons. Normally, testicles should be soft yet slightly firm in texture. If the testicles feel particularly soft, it might be due to temperature effects—for example, excessively hot water during a shower can cause the scrotum to relax and hang lower, making the testicles feel softer. Additionally, with aging, testicular function may gradually decline, which could also lead to a softer texture. However, not all cases of soft testicles are normal; certain conditions such as testicular injury or varicocele may also cause this condition.
