Mycotic Balanitis Symptoms

The main symptoms of candidal balanitis include: 1. Itching: Patients experience significant itching on the glans penis and surrounding areas, which may persist and become unbearable. 2. Redness, swelling, and papules: The inner surface of the foreskin and glans penis may become red and swollen, accompanied by red papules, which may merge into larger erythematous areas. 3. White discharge: A white, thick, curd-like discharge can be observed on the glans penis and inner foreskin, caused by fungal infection. 4. Skin erythema: After infection, the scrotal skin may exhibit erythema with flaky red patches, possibly accompanied by itching and pain. 5. Urethral symptoms: Candidal balanitis may lead to urinary tract infections, causing symptoms such as dysuria, frequency, and urgency. These symptoms may appear individually or concurrently.
