Symptoms of Fungal Balanitis
Disease description:
My cousin has a swollen and red glans, along with white discharge. The doctor diagnosed him with candidal balanitis. What are the symptoms of candidal balanitis?
The clinical manifestations of candidal balanitis mainly include:
1. Skin symptoms: The glans penis and surrounding skin experience severe itching, a burning sensation similar to fire, and may be accompanied by erythema and swelling.
2. Papules and discharge: Scattered red papules and thick, curd-like white discharge can be observed on the glans, coronal sulcus, and inner surface of the prepuce.
3. Scrotal changes: When the scrotum is involved, the skin may show erythema, scaly red patches, accompanied by itching and pain.
4. Urethral symptoms: Urethral infection may cause symptoms such as dysuria, frequency, urgency, burning sensation, and pruritus within the urethra.
These symptoms are typical presentations of candidal balanitis. If the above symptoms occur, prompt medical consultation and treatment are recommended.
