What should I do if my baby keeps hiccupping?
Disease description:
Recently, my baby has been experiencing hiccups. What should I do if my baby keeps hiccupping?

When a baby constantly hiccups, parents can try various methods to help relieve the condition.
1. Try the back patting method: hold the baby upright and gently pat his or her back with a cupped hand to help release air from the stomach and alleviate hiccups.
2. Distract the baby's attention by playing relaxing music or using interesting toys to reduce the baby's awareness of the hiccups.
3. The tickling method also can be effective: tickling the sole of the foot, stroking the corners of the mouth, or touching behind the ears may cause the baby to cry, which stops the spasmodic contractions of the diaphragm and eliminates the hiccups.
4. If the baby's hiccups are related to gastrointestinal dysfunction, the massage method also can be used. Gently massage the baby's abdomen clockwise once in the morning and once in the evening daily, for about 10 minutes each time, to promote gastrointestinal motility and improve the hiccups.
If none of the above methods relieve the baby's hiccups, it is recommended to seek timely medical evaluation to rule out any underlying health issues.
