Gastric diseases refer to a broad category of conditions affecting the stomach, primarily including:
1. Acute gastritis: Caused by chemical substances, physical factors, or microbial infections, characterized by acute inflammation of the gastric mucosa.
2. Chronic gastritis: Refers to chronic inflammation of the gastric mucosa, often associated with aging, abnormal immune function, Helicobacter pylori infection, and other factors; symptoms are usually insidious.
3. Gastric ulcer: Localized defects or erosions in the gastric mucosa; can be classified into type I, II, III, and IV ulcers based on location and characteristics.
4. Gastric cancer: Divided into cancers of the upper, middle, and lower stomach, as well as total gastric cancer; it is highly malignant.
