The recovery process of sutured double eyelid surgery generally can be divided into three stages, with the required time varying from person to person. 1. The first stage is the severe swelling period, which occurs 1-3 days after surgery. During this time, swelling and bruising of the eyelids are relatively obvious. 2. The second stage is the rapid swelling reduction period, lasting from day 4 to day 10. Bruising around the eyes gradually turns light yellow, and redness and swelling subside quickly. The basic shape of the double eyelid becomes visible. 3. The third stage is the prolonged swelling reduction period, lasting from day 11 to day 30. The eyelids are nearly swelling-free, and the shape of the double eyelid is largely established. However, it may take 2-3 months for the eyes to fully recover to a natural appearance. To promote recovery, patients should avoid strenuous activities after surgery, keep the wound clean, perform appropriate eye exercises, and pay attention to adjustments in diet and sleep.
