How to treat body heat rash (prickly heat)
Disease description:
Recently, my skin has been itchy, and the doctor said it's prickly heat. How is prickly heat treated on the human body?
Treatment for heat rash (miliaria) requires a combination of general measures, topical medications, oral drugs, and daily lifestyle adjustments to relieve symptoms and promote recovery.
1. General treatment: Keep the skin clean and dry, avoid prolonged exposure to hot and humid environments, wear loose and breathable clothing, bathe frequently, and use mild cleansing products.
2. Topical medications: Apply calamine lotion, talcum powder, or other agents with cooling, astringent, and anti-itch properties. If bacterial infection occurs, antibiotic ointments such as mupirocin ointment may be used.
3. Oral medications: If itching is severe, oral antihistamines such as loratadine tablets may be taken. If bacterial infection is present, oral antibiotics may be taken under medical supervision.
4. Daily lifestyle adjustments: Pay attention to a healthy diet, avoid spicy and greasy foods, ensure good indoor ventilation, and avoid excessive fatigue and strenuous exercise.
