How to get rid of heat rash on the body
Disease description:
I recently noticed some heat rash developing on my back, which often itches. What should I do to get rid of heat rash?
When experiencing heat rash, the following measures can be taken to alleviate it:
1. Improve the environment: Keep indoor areas cool and well-ventilated, avoid staying in hot and humid environments for prolonged periods, and reduce sweating.
2. Maintain cleanliness: Bathe regularly using mild cleansers to keep the skin clean and dry. Wear loose, breathable cotton clothing to avoid friction and excessive pressure on the skin.
3. Topical medications: Apply calamine lotion, talcum powder, or similar products to help relieve itching and promote skin drying and soothing. If itching is severe, oral antihistamines may be taken under medical supervision.
4. Cold compress: Apply a cold towel or ice pack to the affected skin to lower skin temperature and relieve itching and discomfort.
5. Avoid irritation: Refrain from scratching the affected area to prevent worsening symptoms or causing infection. Additionally, maintain a light diet and avoid consuming spicy or irritating foods.
