Mucinous adenocarcinoma, also known as mucin-producing adenocarcinoma, is a malignant tumor arising from glandular epithelial tissue. This condition commonly occurs in the gastrointestinal tract but can also appear in tissues such as the breast, ovary, and prostate. Its main histological特征 (feature) is the presence of substantial solid masses, glandular structures, cord-like or sieve-like patterns of cancerous tissue within extracellular mucin. The cancer cells in mucinous adenocarcinoma exhibit marked cellular atypia, and mitotic figures are frequently observed. From an etiological perspective, mucinous adenocarcinoma is typically associated with factors such as genetic predisposition, unhealthy lifestyle habits, and exposure to toxic or harmful substances. Regarding treatment, surgical resection is the primary approach for mucinous adenocarcinoma. For cases with metastasis, adjuvant therapies such as radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and targeted therapy may also be required. In terms of diet, patients should avoid consuming large amounts of spicy and irritating foods and are advised to primarily choose easily digestible, high-protein foods.
