Lipoma is a common benign tumor originating from adipose tissue, mainly composed of mature fat cells. It can occur as a single lesion or multiple lesions, and is often located subcutaneously or deep within the body. The treatment method for lipomas mainly depends on the size and location of the tumor. For small lipomas without clinical symptoms, special treatment is usually not required; regular monitoring is sufficient. If the tumor is large, affects appearance, or compresses nerves, blood vessels, or organs, causing related symptoms, surgical treatment may be considered. Surgical options include traditional excision and laser surgery, with the latter being suitable for smaller lipomas. In addition, measures such as limiting staple food intake and medication may also help to control the growth of lipomas.
