A lump appearing on the inner side of the knee may be caused by a synovial cyst, meniscus injury, lipoma, arthritis, or other types of soft tissue swelling. Treatment options include:

1. Determine the nature of the lump: To identify the characteristics and cause of the lump, a local color ultrasound examination is usually recommended.

2. Rest and ice application: When the lump is accompanied by pain or swelling, initial management may involve rest and ice application. Apply an ice pack to the affected area for 20 minutes at a time, multiple times per day, to effectively help reduce inflammation and relieve pain. At the same time, excessive activity should be avoided, as it can place additional stress on the knee and potentially worsen symptoms.

3. Avoid excessive activity: Reduce stress on the knee and avoid strenuous exercise to prevent worsening of symptoms.

4. Surgical treatment: If the lump is a benign tumor such as a lipoma or fibroma that affects daily life, surgical removal may be considered. If the lump is due to fasciitis or a cyst caused by knee arthritis, treatment options may include aspiration, injection of a sclerosing agent into the cyst, or surgical intervention.
