Dr. Wang Xiaoyan
To relieve winter itch, it is recommended to strengthen skin care, use moisturizing creams, avoid excessive bathing and frequent use of alkaline detergents, maintain indoor humidity, and wear breathable and warm clothing. 1. Climatic factors: Cold and dry winter weather, along with excessive friction between skin and clothing, can cause rapid loss of moisture from the skin's stratum corneum, damaging the skin barrier and resulting in dryness and itching. 2. Physiological factors: Bathing too frequently, using water that is too hot, or frequently using alkaline detergents in winter may lead to skin fat loss and dryness, which can cause itching. 3. Pathological factors: Certain skin conditions, such as ichthyosis and psoriasis, may worsen during winter, intensifying the sensation of itching. Additionally, internal medical conditions like nutritional deficiencies and thyroid diseases can also cause winter skin itching. If symptoms persist or worsen, seek medical attention promptly.
