Can anemic nevus be cured?
Disease description:
Recently, I noticed symptoms of anemia, and the examination revealed anemic nevus. Additionally, I have been experiencing frequent dizziness, fatigue, and general weakness lately. May I ask, can anemic nevus be cured?
Anemic nevi generally cannot be completely cured. An anemic nevus is a functional disorder caused by congenital abnormalities in vascular tissue development, characterized by localized hypopigmentation of the skin, forming pale white patches. Currently, although treatments such as surgical excision, laser therapy, and cryotherapy are available, none can completely cure an anemic nevus; they can only improve its appearance to some extent. Small anemic nevi can be removed through surgery or laser treatment, while larger ones may require multiple treatments. However, patients should be aware that these treatments may carry certain risks and complications, such as local trauma and scarring. Therefore, when selecting a treatment method, factors such as the size and location of the anemic nevus, as well as the patient's individual circumstances, should be comprehensively considered, and the treatment should be conducted under the guidance of a qualified physician.
