What causes lower abdominal pain?
Disease description:
I've had lower abdominal pain for the past few days. My menstruation just ended, so I shouldn't be experiencing pain. What could be causing this lower abdominal pain?
There are multiple causes of lower abdominal pain, mainly including:
1. Improper diet, such as frequently consuming spicy or irritating foods, which may irritate the intestinal mucosa and cause abdominal pain;
2. Digestive system issues, such as appendicitis and enteritis, often accompanied by symptoms like diarrhea and nausea;
3. Urinary system problems, such as cystitis and urinary tract infections, typically presenting with frequent and urgent urination;
4. Reproductive system issues, such as dysmenorrhea and pelvic inflammatory disease, commonly seen in women, and may be accompanied by menstrual irregularities and pain during intercourse;
5. Other conditions, such as peritonitis and intestinal obstruction, can also lead to lower abdominal pain.
