How should anemia be treated?
Disease description:
I have always suffered from anemia and have tried many different methods, but the results have not been very satisfactory. I would like to know how anemia should be treated.
The treatment of anemia should be formulated according to its cause and severity, and can mainly be divided into the following points:
1. **Drug therapy**: Depending on the type of anemia. For example, iron supplements (such as ferrous sulfate tablets, iron dextran granules, ferrous gluconate syrup, etc.) can be used for iron deficiency anemia; vitamin B12 and folic acid supplementation can be used for megaloblastic anemia.
2. **Blood transfusion therapy**: Blood transfusion is recommended for chronic anemia patients with hemoglobin levels below 60g/L or patients with acute blood loss exceeding 30% of total blood volume.
3. **Surgical treatment**: For severe anemia unresponsive to drug or blood transfusion therapy, such as aplastic anemia, allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation may be considered.
4. **General supportive care**: Emphasis should be placed on rest, dietary adjustment, and ensuring adequate intake of nutrients such as iron and vitamin B12.
