What are the symptoms of uremia?
Disease description:
One of my teachers has developed uremia and has gone to Shanghai for treatment. May I ask what symptoms may occur with uremia?
Uremic symptoms are diverse and complex, mainly including the following:
1. Gastrointestinal symptoms: nausea and vomiting, loss of appetite, gastrointestinal bleeding, etc. Among these, nausea and vomiting are common early symptoms, often accompanied by oral malodor.
2. Hematologic symptoms: anemia and bleeding tendency, manifested as pale skin and mucous membranes, weakness, and easy bruising or bleeding.
3. Neurologic symptoms: fatigue, mental abnormalities such as dizziness, headache, memory loss, and in severe cases, behavioral changes and leg pain may occur.
4. Urinary symptoms: decreased urine output, or even anuria; some patients may have normal urine output initially, but this gradually decreases as the condition progresses.
5. Symptoms of other systems: edema, skin itching, bone pain, osteoporosis, etc. Edema is one of the common symptoms, while pruritus often causes significant discomfort to the patient.
