He prescribed some herbal medicine, which has had some effect. However, due to work commitments, I don't have time to prepare and take the herbal decoctions regularly. It is not recommended to use folk remedies for the treatment of kidney disease. Kidney disease treatment can employ a variety of scientific approaches comprehensively according to the patient's condition:
1. **Medication therapy**: Use glucocorticoids and immunosuppressants, such as prednisone and cyclophosphamide, to suppress immune responses and reduce kidney damage. Diuretics, such as furosemide and hydrochlorothiazide, may be administered to relieve edema symptoms. For non-immunological factors, such as hypertension and hyperlipidemia, appropriate medications are used for symptomatic treatment.
2. **Surgical treatment**: For stone-related kidney disease, stone removal surgery may be performed when necessary. Tumor-related kidney disease requires surgical resection, often followed by long-term treatment after surgery. Kidney transplantation is an important treatment option for end-stage kidney disease.
3. **Other treatments**: Include dialysis therapy (hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis) and syndrome differentiation-based treatment in traditional Chinese medicine, aimed at clearing toxins from the body, maintaining water and electrolyte balance, and delaying disease progression.
