What causes stomach pain accompanied by back pain?
Disease description:
I have been feeling very uncomfortable in my stomach lately, constantly experiencing stomach pain, and also having back pain. What could be the cause of this?
Possible causes of stomach pain accompanied by back pain include:
1. Digestive system disorders: Such as gastritis, gastric ulcer, and duodenal ulcer. Pain caused by these conditions may radiate to the back, resulting in back pain.
2. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD): This condition may be caused by dysfunction of the esophageal sphincter muscle, with symptoms including acid regurgitation, nausea, stomach pain, and referred back pain.
3. Cholecystitis: Pain caused by cholecystitis may also radiate to the back. Particularly with pain in the upper right abdomen, shoulder or back pain often occurs concurrently.
4. Indigestion: Improper diet or insufficient gastric motility may lead to indigestion. Food retention in the stomach may cause stomach pain that radiates to the back.
5. Other factors: Such as exposure to cold, improper diet, and long-term chronic fatigue may also lead to both stomach pain and back pain.
