What are the symptoms of syphilis and AIDS?
Disease description:
I had syphilis before and it took a long time to recover. I feel that syphilis rash and HIV rash are somewhat similar. What are the symptoms of syphilis and AIDS?
Syphilis:
1. Early symptoms include genital ulcers (chancre) and painless lymphadenopathy (bubo), primarily occurring at the site of sexual contact.
2. As the disease progresses to secondary syphilis, systemic symptoms may develop, such as fever, headache, skin rashes (including erythema and papules), and syphilitic alopecia.
3. Tertiary syphilis presents with complex symptoms that may involve multiple organs, including the nervous system and bones, leading to nodular syphilid, gumma, and other manifestations. The disease course is long and highly destructive.
AIDS:
1. Early symptoms may be nonspecific or subtle. As the disease progresses, persistent fever, night sweats, and generalized lymphadenopathy may occur.
2. Skin manifestations are varied and may include rashes (erythema, papules, vesicles), nonspecific dermatitis, pityriasis rosea, and others.
3. When the nervous system is involved, symptoms such as meningitis and acute polyneuritis may develop, presenting as lethargy, limb numbness, and similar neurological signs.
If you experience any related symptoms, seek medical attention promptly for diagnosis and treatment.
