What are the symptoms of duodenal bulb inflammation?
Disease description:
I have recently been experiencing discomfort in my upper abdomen, such as pain and bloating. My close friend said it might be duodenal bulb inflammation. What are the symptoms of duodenal bulb inflammation?
The main symptoms of duodenal bulb inflammation include:
1. Upper abdominal pain: Often manifested as distension pain, with periodicity and rhythm. It is particularly evident when hungry or at night and can be relieved after eating.
2. Indigestion symptoms: Such as acid regurgitation, belching, nausea, and vomiting. These symptoms may accompany abdominal pain. Some patients may also experience poor appetite, malnutrition, fatigue, and weight loss.
3. Physical signs: Mild tenderness in the upper abdomen is a common physical sign. Some patients may also develop glossitis, anemia, and weight loss.
4. Complications: Erosive duodenal bulb inflammation may be complicated by upper gastrointestinal bleeding, manifested as black tarry stools or hematemesis.
