Heart rhythm problems are usually recommended to be evaluated and treated by the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine (commonly referred to as the Cardiology Department). The Cardiology Department primarily manages non-surgical treatments for diseases of the heart and peripheral blood vessels, including various heart conditions such as arrhythmia, heart failure, and coronary artery disease. When heart rhythm abnormalities occur, such as tachycardia, bradycardia, or irregular heartbeat, cardiologists assess cardiac status using diagnostic tools such as electrocardiogram (ECG) and echocardiography, and formulate corresponding treatment plans.
