Does Aztreonam require a skin test?

Disease description:

To prevent allergies, I know that a skin test is required before administering penicillin and cephalosporin drugs. I'd just like to know, since aztreonam does not belong to either of these two drug classes, is a skin test still necessary?

Altromycin usually does not require a skin test. Altromycin is a monobactam antibiotic with weak immunogenicity, and allergic reactions are rarely observed after administration. Therefore, a skin allergy test is generally not required before its use. However, although allergic reactions to altromycin are uncommon, patients should still use the medication under the guidance of a physician and remain vigilant for any adverse reactions. If adverse effects occur after administration, prompt medical attention should be sought. Additionally, patients with a history of penicillin or cephalosporin allergy should use altromycin with particular caution and under the supervision of a physician.
