Prostatitis Symptoms
Disease description:
I am a 45-year-old male. Recently, I have been experiencing frequent urination, painful urination, and a burning sensation in the urethra. I am worried that I might have prostatitis. Could you please tell me what the symptoms of prostatitis are?
Prostatitis is a common urinary system disease in men. The main symptoms can be divided into the following categories:
1. Urinary problems: Symptoms may include frequent urination, urgency, painful urination, reduced urine flow, difficulty in urination, or a dripping sensation after urination. Sometimes, mucous or purulent discharge may be noticed at the urethral opening upon waking in the morning.
2. Pain and discomfort: Pain or discomfort of varying severity may occur in the lower abdomen, perineal area, testicles, lower back, or rectal region. Symptoms may worsen after prolonged sitting or cycling.
3. Sexual dysfunction: Some patients may experience difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection, painful ejaculation, or decreased libido.
If these symptoms occur, timely medical consultation is necessary. Avoid alcohol and spicy foods, maintain a regular sexual life, and regularly empty prostatic fluid. Treatment should be conducted under a doctor's guidance; self-medication is strongly discouraged.
