Symptoms of Candidal Vaginitis
Disease description:
I am 32 years old. Recently, I noticed an unusual odor in my vaginal discharge, accompanied by itching. Sometimes I experience pain during urination. I suspect I might have candidal vaginitis. Could you please tell me, what are the symptoms of candidal vaginitis?

Candidal vaginitis, also known as vulvovaginal candidiasis, has the following main symptoms:
1. Abnormal vaginal discharge: increased discharge that appears as clumps resembling tofu residue or thick, white, curd-like substance, sometimes with a slight odor.
2. Itching and pain: noticeable itching of the vulva and vagina, possibly accompanied by a burning sensation or mild pain, which can affect daily life and work in severe cases.
3. Redness, swelling, and ulcers: the vaginal mucosa and vulva may become red and swollen, and shallow ulcers may even develop.
4. Urinary abnormalities: frequent urination, urgency, and painful urination, with occasional difficulty in urination, possibly related to a coexisting urinary tract infection.
5. Other symptoms: a small number of patients may not exhibit obvious symptoms, but most will experience one or more of the above symptoms.
The severity of these symptoms may vary among individuals, and a definitive diagnosis must be made by a physician based on examination results.
