What causes a dry and sore throat?
Disease description:
Recently, I have been experiencing some coughing, a sore throat, and dryness. I would like to ask, what are the causes of a dry and painful throat?

Dry and sore throat can be caused by multiple factors:
1. Dehydration: Insufficient body fluid is the most common cause, leading to dryness of the throat mucosa and resulting in pain.
2. Environmental factors: Excessively dry air (such as in air-conditioned rooms or heated indoor environments in winter) may cause throat discomfort.
3. Upper respiratory tract infection: Viral infections, such as the common cold or early stages of influenza, often present with sore throat.
4. Overuse of vocal cords: Loud shouting, singing, or prolonged talking can also cause throat pain.
5. Allergic reactions: Certain food or environmental allergens may trigger throat inflammation.
If the dry and sore throat persists or is accompanied by symptoms such as fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, prompt medical attention is advised.
