What causes neonatal miliaria?
Disease description:
My baby is 2 years old. Many small pimples were noticed on the body while bathing, accompanied by redness, swelling, and itching. After examination, the doctor diagnosed it as miliaria (heat rash). I would like to know what causes miliaria in newborns?
The causes of neonatal dyshidrotic eczema are complex and varied, mainly including:
1. Allergic factors: Neonates have a relatively weak constitution; contact with allergens such as pollen, dust mites, or consumption of allergenic foods such as seafood, mangoes, etc., may trigger allergic reactions leading to dyshidrotic eczema.
2. Infectious factors: Fungal infections, such as those caused by dermatophytes, are common causes of dyshidrotic eczema. If parents or other caregivers have fungal infections, these may be transmitted to the neonate through direct contact.
3. Environmental factors: Prolonged exposure to hot, humid environments or extended exposure to ultraviolet radiation may cause skin dysfunction, leading to dyshidrotic eczema.
4. Other factors: Deficiencies in trace elements, low immunity, and poor sweat excretion capacity may also be associated with the development of dyshidrotic eczema in neonates.
