Bumps similar to mosquito bites appearing on the body may be caused by various factors. This could be a hypersensitivity reaction, known as papular urticaria, triggered by acidic substances released following an insect bite, presenting as raised bumps on the skin accompanied by itching. It could also indicate allergic dermatitis, in which the skin develops red bumps resembling mosquito bites as an allergic reaction to certain chemicals, foods, or medications. In addition, diseases such as infantile exanthem, heat rash, folliculitis, urticaria, and nodular prurigo may also cause bumps on the body resembling mosquito bites. If such symptoms occur, prompt medical attention is recommended. At the same time, maintain clean skin and avoid scratching the affected areas to prevent worsening of symptoms or secondary infection.
