Symptoms of Chronic Cervicitis
Disease description:
I am 25 years old this year, and recently I have noticed that my vaginal discharge appears slightly yellow. After checking some references, I learned that it might be chronic cervicitis. May I ask what are the symptoms of chronic cervicitis?

The main symptoms of chronic cervicitis include:
1. Abnormal vaginal discharge: increased vaginal discharge, which may appear yellowish, contain blood streaks, or even be purulent and thick in texture.
2. Pain: pain in the lower abdomen or lumbosacral region, sometimes radiating to the upper abdomen, thighs, and hip joints, especially worsening during menstruation, bowel movements, or sexual activity.
3. Urinary symptoms: frequent urination, painful urination, urgency, and difficulty urinating, which may be related to urinary tract infections caused by cervicitis.
4. Itching and pain in the vulva: increased vaginal discharge may irritate the vulva, causing itching and pain.
5. Other symptoms: some patients may develop cervical hypertrophy, cervical polyps, or experience contact bleeding, such as bleeding after sexual intercourse or gynecological examinations.
If you have any concerns, please seek medical attention promptly.
