Normal blood glucose levels
My own blood sugar levels have been somewhat unstable lately. I'd like to ask the doctor, what is the normal blood glucose value?

The general normal range for blood glucose levels is as follows:
1. The normal range for fasting blood glucose (i.e., blood glucose levels after at least 8 hours without food) is typically: 3.9–6.1 mmol/L.
2. The normal range for 2-hour postprandial blood glucose (2HPB) should be less than 7.8 mmol/L.
If fasting blood glucose is between 6.1–7.0 mmol/L, it is referred to as impaired glucose tolerance; exceeding 7.0 mmol/L in two separate tests usually leads to a diagnosis of diabetes. For individuals with diabetes, the target blood glucose levels may be more stringent.
These values apply to the general adult population; standards for children and pregnant women may differ. If concerned, prompt medical consultation is recommended.
