What are the manifestations during the recovery phase of allergic dermatitis?
Disease description:
I had an allergic reaction some time ago, with a lot of red rashes appearing on my body. I feel much better now and would like to learn about what allergic dermatitis looks like during the recovery phase.
Manifestations during the recovery phase of allergic dermatitis mainly include:
1. Relief of itching: As the allergic reaction gradually subsides, patients experience a significant reduction or complete disappearance of itching, indicating improvement of the condition.
2. Reduction of redness and swelling: The redness and swelling of the skin gradually diminish, and the skin color gradually returns to normal, indicating that the inflammatory response is subsiding.
3. Resolution of rashes: The number and size of rashes decrease, and plaques gradually fade, with the skin surface becoming smoother, indicating enhanced self-repair capability of the skin.
4. Decreased desquamation: During the recovery phase, skin peeling caused by allergic dermatitis gradually diminishes due to epidermal cell renewal and regeneration.
5. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation: Some patients may develop mild pigmentation during the recovery phase, which results from increased melanin production caused by inflammation; however, this condition typically improves gradually.
