Positive urine protein typically indicates an abnormal amount of protein detected in the urine, a condition medically known as proteinuria.
Proteinuria may be a sign of various diseases, most commonly kidney disorders such as glomerulonephritis, a condition affecting the function of the kidney's filtration membrane, leading to the leakage of proteins from the blood into the urine.
