Positive urine protein typically indicates an abnormal amount of protein detected in the urine, a condition medically known as proteinuria.

Proteinuria may be a sign of various diseases, most commonly kidney disorders such as glomerulonephritis, a condition affecting the function of the kidney's filtration membrane, leading to the leakage of proteins from the blood into the urine. Other possible causes include diabetic nephropathy, hypertensive kidney disease, infections, drug side effects, transient proteinuria after strenuous exercise, and certain systemic diseases such as lupus.

If you have concerns or experience other abnormal symptoms, it is recommended to seek medical attention promptly.
