I've noticed that my hands have been peeling recently; could this be due to the hot weather? I would like to ask, what causes hand peeling in summer?

The causes of hand peeling in summer may involve multiple factors. Among non-disease factors, high temperatures can increase hand perspiration, and frequent hand washing may lead to dryness and subsequent peeling. Disease factors should not be overlooked either, such as hand tinea, dyshidrotic eczema, and exfoliative keratolysis—these skin conditions may trigger or worsen hand peeling symptoms during summer. Hand tinea is caused by fungal infection and presents with symptoms including rashes, flaking skin, dryness, and peeling; dyshidrotic eczema is associated with excessive sweating, with blisters leaving white, ring-like peeling after drying; exfoliative keratolysis manifests as epidermal peeling, which may be exacerbated by sweating in summer. Additionally, deficiencies in trace elements such as zinc may also contribute to hand peeling.
