What causes small blisters on the hands?
Disease description:
Recently, many small, fine blisters have appeared on my hands. I'm afraid to pop them. I would like to ask the doctor, what causes small blisters to appear on the hands?
Small blisters appearing on the hands may have several possible causes:
1. Burns: If the patient's hand is scalded by boiling water or high-temperature steam, it may cause tissue damage and result in small blisters on the hand.
2. Tinea rash (Fungal dermatophytosis): If the patient's hands come into contact with pets such as cats or dogs that have fungal skin infections, they may contract the infection, leading to tinea rash, which is an allergic reaction causing blister formation on the hands.
3. Hand ringworm (Tinea manuum): If the hands become infected with pathogenic fungi, it may trigger hand ringworm, damaging the skin and causing small blisters to form.
4. Dyshidrotic eczema (Pompholyx): Particularly during summer or after intense physical activity, small blisters may appear on the palms and soles due to blocked sweat glands.
5. Blisters caused by friction or pressure: Wearing tight or ill-fitting shoes for extended periods, or excessive pressure on the hands, may also lead to blister formation.
