Impaired kidney function typically manifests in the following ways:

1. Edema: Due to decreased kidney capacity to excrete water, edema may develop in the face, eyelids, hands, feet, or other parts of the body.

2. Changes in urine output: In the early stages of reduced kidney function, urine output may increase, while in later stages, oliguria (reduced urine production) or even anuria (absence of urine production) may occur.

3. Fatigue and weakness: Accumulation of toxins in the body can affect red blood cell production, leading to anemia, which causes fatigue and a general sense of weakness.

4. Hypertension: Impaired kidney function in regulating blood pressure may lead to elevated blood pressure.

5. Gastrointestinal symptoms: Nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite may be related to kidney problems.

6. Electrolyte imbalance: Imbalances in levels of potassium, sodium, calcium, and other electrolytes may cause symptoms such as arrhythmias and muscle cramps.

If the above symptoms occur, prompt medical attention is advised.
