Dr. Liu Feng
Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) is an important indicator for assessing the level of diabetes control. The normal range for glycated hemoglobin is generally between 4% and 6%, which is an internationally accepted standard. In our country, the normal value for glycated hemoglobin is usually maintained below 6.5%. Glycated hemoglobin is a product formed by the combination of hemoglobin within red blood cells and blood glucose. It reflects the average blood glucose levels of patients over the past 2 to 3 months and is an important indicator for monitoring blood glucose control in diabetic patients. Regular HbA1c testing is helpful for diabetes management.
