Warning Signs of Stroke
Disease description:
I don't know what's going on with me lately, but I've been experiencing headaches, dizziness, and chest tightness. I'm worried I might be having a stroke. I'd like to ask the doctor, what are the warning signs of a stroke?
Stroke precursors typically manifest as various physical abnormalities, mainly including:
1. Dizziness and headache: Sudden dizziness may occur, with a sensation of spinning, accompanied by headaches, especially persistent or abruptly worsening headaches.
2. Sensory abnormalities: Numbness in one limb or side of the face, sometimes accompanied by a tingling sensation, which may be an important signal of an impending stroke.
3. Motor dysfunction: Sudden limb weakness, impaired movement, or unsteady walking, and even falling, may all be signs of an approaching stroke.
4. Vision problems: Blurred vision, double vision, or sudden blindness, which may last for several seconds to minutes, is one of the common precursors of stroke.
5. Language disorders: Slurred speech, disorganized speech, or the inability to speak may also be symptoms that appear before a stroke.
If any of these symptoms occur, prompt medical attention is necessary.
