Symptoms of Autonomic Nervous System Dysfunction
Disease description:
I am 40 years old this year. Recently, I have often felt discomfort in my heart, with symptoms of chest tightness and shortness of breath. My family members say there might be a problem with my nerves. I would like to ask the doctor: What are the symptoms of vegetative nerve dysfunction?
The symptoms of autonomic dysfunction are diverse and can involve multiple systems, including:
1. Cardiovascular system: Symptoms may include palpitations, chest tightness, panic, and blood pressure fluctuations; severe cases may involve a sense of impending doom.
2. Digestive system: Manifested as gastrointestinal dysfunction, such as stomach pain, bloating, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea, or constipation.
3. Nervous system: Commonly accompanied by dizziness, headache, insomnia, memory impairment, anxiety, depression, irritability, and other emotional and psychological symptoms.
4. Respiratory system: May present with transient shortness of breath or throat discomfort.
5. Other symptoms: Additional manifestations of autonomic dysfunction may include cold hands and feet, excessive sweating, and a sensation of whole-body skin warmth with normal body temperature.
