Symptoms and Manifestations of Autonomic Nervous System Dysfunction
Disease description:
I am 43 years old and feel that my heart is somewhat uncomfortable, with insufficient blood supply. Could this be a problem with my autonomic nervous system? I would like to know about the symptoms and manifestations of autonomic dysfunction.
The symptoms and manifestations of autonomic nervous system dysfunction are complex and diverse, involving multiple systems. The main aspects include:
1. Cardiovascular system: Symptoms may include palpitations, chest tightness, shortness of breath, arrhythmia, increased or decreased heart rate, and in some cases, orthostatic hypotension may occur.
2. Digestive system: Common symptoms include gastrointestinal dysfunction such as stomach pain, bloating, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and loss of appetite.
3. Nervous system: Patients may experience insomnia, memory loss, decreased muscle strength, depression, anxiety, headaches, dizziness, and other symptoms, which can severely affect daily life in serious cases.
4. Other systems: Additional symptoms may include transient body heat, sweating, numbness or itching of the skin, numbness in the limbs, and heat sensations in the palms and soles—manifesting as wandering or shifting abnormal sensations.
If similar symptoms occur, timely medical attention is recommended.
