What are the symptoms of autonomic nervous system dysfunction?
Recently, I have been experiencing insomnia frequently, and I'm worried it might be autonomic nervous system dysfunction. What are the symptoms of autonomic nervous system dysfunction?

Dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system, also known as autonomic neuropathy, can be summarized by the following main symptoms:
1. Cardiovascular symptoms: such as palpitations, chest tightness, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, and blood pressure fluctuations. Some patients may experience a sense of impending doom.
2. Digestive system symptoms: gastrointestinal dysfunction is common, including stomach pain, bloating, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea, or constipation.
3. Neurological symptoms: dizziness, headache, vertigo, tinnitus, insomnia, vivid dreams, memory loss, and difficulty concentrating.
4. Emotional and psychological symptoms: patients often exhibit anxiety, depression, irritability, significant mood swings, restlessness, tension, and fear.
5. Other symptoms: numbness in the limbs, migratory pain, general weakness, low-grade fever, and abnormal skin sensations may also occur. In addition, female patients may experience irregular menstruation and dysmenorrhea; male patients may encounter erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation.
If these symptoms occur, prompt medical attention is recommended.
