The symptoms of seafood allergy are diverse, mainly including: 1. Skin symptoms: such as rash, hives, skin itching, and swelling. Severe cases may also present with blisters, erosion, nipple edema, and accompanying angioedema. These symptoms occur when allergens irritate skin tissues, causing damage to the skin and mucous membranes. 2. Gastrointestinal symptoms: including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, gastroesophageal reflux, constipation, blood in stool, hypoalbuminemia, and colitis. These symptoms are usually triggered when allergens enter the digestive tract and irritate the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract. 3. Respiratory symptoms: such as nasal itching, runny nose, otitis media, chronic cough, wheezing, and severe cases may even develop acute laryngeal edema or airway obstruction, leading to difficulty breathing or suffocation. 4. Eye symptoms: such as itchy eyes, tearing, and conjunctival congestion. Although these symptoms are not common, they may also occur during seafood allergy. 5. Systemic symptoms: including persistent abdominal pain, dizziness, chest tightness, palpitations, and anaphylactic shock. Among these, anaphylactic shock is a medical emergency that may be accompanied by difficulty breathing, low blood pressure, bradycardia, fainting, and loss of consciousness, requiring immediate medical attention.
