Aspirin enteric-coated tablets are a commonly used over-the-counter medication, primarily containing acetylsalicylic acid, with the following functions and therapeutic effects:
1. Analgesic and antipyretic: It can relieve mild to moderate pain such as headache, toothache, neuralgia, muscle pain, and menstrual pain, and is also used to reduce fever caused by colds and influenza.
2. Anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic: It is a commonly prescribed medication for treating rheumatic fever. After administration, it reduces fever, alleviates joint symptoms, and lowers erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR).
3. Arthritis: In addition to rheumatic arthritis, this medication is also used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis to improve symptoms; however, etiological treatment should also be administered concurrently.
