What are the common gynecological inflammations?
Recently, I have been feeling an itch in my vaginal area and something doesn't seem right. I would like to know, what are the common types of gynecological inflammation?
Gynecological inflammation refers to inflammation of the female reproductive organs, mainly including various types such as vaginitis, cervicitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, endometritis, adnexitis, and others. The symptoms of these inflammations vary but generally include increased vaginal discharge, external genital itching, pain, burning sensation, and pain during sexual intercourse.
Vaginitis may also present with abnormal discharge color and unpleasant odor; cervicitis may cause increased leukorrhea that appears purulent, along with lower back and abdominal aching; pelvic inflammatory disease may manifest as persistent lower abdominal pain, and severe cases may even exhibit systemic symptoms such as chills and high fever.
The occurrence of gynecological inflammation is associated with multiple factors, including bacterial infection, fungal infection, unhygienic sexual activity, and decreased immune function. To prevent and treat gynecological inflammation, women should maintain good personal hygiene habits, avoid excessive cleaning and the misuse of antibiotics, undergo regular gynecological examinations, and follow medical guidance for treatment.
